Build telecom construction reports with AI — from a question to a working dashboard

September 17, 2026 · 9 min read

How Speedlr turns plain-language operational and financial questions into permission-aware telecom construction reports, charts, dashboards and scheduled exports.

Telecom construction companies rarely lack data. They lack a fast way to turn it into the exact report a project manager, finance lead or customer needs today. The source records sit across projects, production, workforce, locates and financial workflows, while the answer is often assembled by exporting files and rebuilding the same spreadsheet every week.

Speedlr's AI report builder starts with a plain-language request. A user can ask for project profitability this year, partner production for the last 30 days, production quantities by billing code this month, planned workforce capacity, or locate tickets approaching expiry. Speedlr translates that request into a working report definition instead of returning a paragraph that cannot be audited.

The result is structured and reviewable. Speedlr identifies the permitted data source, date range, filters, grouping and metrics, then presents the report with the appropriate KPIs, detail tables and bar, line, area or pie charts. The user can see what data and filters the report uses before relying on the result.

Operational reports support common time windows such as this week, this month, this year and the last 7, 30 or 90 days, along with custom ranges. Filters can isolate statuses, projects, partners or other available fields. Metrics can count records, total or average quantities, calculate minimums and maximums, count distinct values and build formulas from earlier metrics in the same report.

Financial reporting becomes especially useful when production and commercial records share the same system. Authorized users can analyze revenue, cost and profit from project production financials, compare periods and group results to find where margin is being earned or lost. The report is based on the user's accessible Speedlr data rather than a detached copy that becomes stale after export.

AI does not lock the report into its first interpretation. A user can continue the conversation to change the date window, add a filter, alter a grouping or revise the requested measures. The generated definition can also be opened in the visual report builder for direct control over every section.

Once the report answers the question, it becomes reusable. Teams can save it privately, export the current result to Excel, CSV or PDF, add it to a dashboard, or schedule it for email delivery. A one-off management question can therefore become a repeatable operating rhythm without rebuilding the analysis from scratch.

Access remains part of the design. The report builder only offers data sources enabled for that company and allowed by the signed-in user's permissions. Saved reports and dashboard tiles run with the viewer's own access, helping companies preserve the same operational boundaries they use elsewhere in Speedlr.

The practical gain is not that AI makes every business decision. It removes the translation work between a useful construction question and a transparent report. Project leaders can investigate production, finance, workforce and locate performance while the issue is still actionable, and analysts can spend their time refining decisions instead of formatting another recurring spreadsheet.
